Join the Montgomery County First Aid Unit today!!!

How do I join?

If you are interested in a potential career in EMS, fire service, or medicine, the First Aid Unit is a terrific way to start. We always need new people. Membership requires that participants must be at least 14 years old and have completed eighth grade. Our adult advisors must be age 21 or older. Upon joining you will be considered a Recruit. After meeting membership, training and time requirements, you will be promoted to full Member status. All Recruits and Members must be willing to attend a minimum of one meeting and one standby with the First Aid Unit per month. Members must also maintain their level of certification as part of their responsibility. All members have the potential to advance into leadership positions.

Adult Advisors

Adult Advisors are essential and always needed. Our Advisors provide supervision and advice as needed during standbys and meetings. Many adults find the First Aid Unit a perfect match for their desire to provide EMS care, mentor young adults and serve the community. Some Advisors find that service to the First Aid Unit requires less of a time commitment than membership to a local volunteer fire department.

Current Emergency Medical Technicians, Firefighters, and other healthcare professionals are encouraged to join because your expertise can help mentor and train our youth members.
